Spotlight on Sophie

Over the summer, CFP was delighted to welcome a new member of the team with Sophie Worthington joining us as an Administration Assistant. We sat down with Sophie to learn all about her new role at CFP.

What did you do prior to working at CFP?

I recently finished studying Tourism Management at Manchester Metropolitan University, however, after finishing my degree I wasn’t too sure what to do next and wanted to explore my career options. Whilst studying I also worked at a sports shop, which allowed me to develop my customer service skills and gain experience of the working world; it also meant I had a bit of extra spending money, which is always a good thing!

How did you come to work at CFP?

Last year I was fortunate to be offered a few days’ work experience with the team, and I really enjoyed it. When I graduated, it felt like a natural progression for me to come back and pursue the role further.

What’s the most fulfilling part of your job?

Every day is a school day at CFP! Although I’ve only worked here for a couple of months, I already feel like I’ve learnt a lot of new skills. My role is incredibly varied, and so it’s been a great way for me to figure out my strengths and capabilities to shape my future career.

What’s a typical day for you?

I always start my day at 8:30am and tend to have the same morning routine. I usually start off checking the dispatch list and invoices to check everything is in order, as well as catching up on PODs and ensuring email confirmations are issued to customers to advise them that their filters have been dispatched. My afternoon differs from day to day; from assisting one of my colleagues if they need my help on a task, or looking after a customer order to make sure their customer service is timely, professional and befitting of a filter management partner.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to stay fit and healthy so I try to get to the gym as often as I can as well as going out with friends. I also spend my free time singing; I used to enter singing competitions when I was younger but now it’s just more of a hobby.
